Psychic: More than Myth

By Daniel Taverne

A psychic matrix connects us all

There are many stigmas related to people claiming to be psychic in the world today. In fact, most people who claim to be psychic are often scoffed at, or they are made the brunt of disbelieving ridicule. Well, I’m here to set the nay Sayers strait, as well as make them stop and take notice. With all the stories of psychic happenings circulating the globe, there is ample evidence to support that psychic abilities are much more than myth.

Many people believe that a psychic connection may commonly exist between family members. Think about it, have you ever called a family member on the phone only to hear them tell you they were about to call you? I know I have!

Recently, I wrote an article that talked about my neighbor’s old house being haunted. I hadn’t thought of that place in some time, so when my sister told me she and my mother had taken a walk over to that haunted property, the same week I wrote it, the coincidence assuredly reinforced my belief in a familial psychic connection.

Another commonly reported phenomenon that suggests psychic connections are more than myth, are accounts of family members feeling pain as a close relative was seriously injured many miles away. Even more astonishing, over the years, many stories of family members knowing the exact time of a sibling’s, a parent’s, or a child’s death when there was no other way of them knowing are said to occur quite often.

One example of this phenomenon occurred many years ago. My wife’s great uncle was killed in world war two, and my wife’s grandmother said the night he was killed, he paid her a visit. She alleges that her brother’s spirit sat on her bed and told her not to worry, he was okay, and that everything would be fine.” At that moment she knew he had died. Six days later, she got a phone call informing her of what she already knew. Although some people might not consider this an example of a psychic connection, it’s my notion that his spirit had to follow a psychic connection to get to her

I believe that body language is sometimes given too much credit for what people sense in others. That being said, it’s fairly common for people to “sense” other people’s basic feeling toward them. For example, if a person is being talked about behind his/her back, often the person can sense that something negative is going on. Have you ever been this person? If so, then you know what I’m talking about.

Better known occurrences that are more than myth come from people who for one reason or another, felt compelled to not board an air plane, or were warned by a loved one that a flight shouldn’t be taken, only to discover later that the plane had an unfortunate accident. This type of psychic phenomenon is often explained away by science as mere coincidence, but those who have had the feelings or received the warnings know better.

There is another type of psychic ability that I have experienced myself. I bought a raffle ticket when I was in the army some years ago. At the moment of the public drawing, I was standing there and astonishingly knew my name would be drawn. I actually had a physiological reaction to this knowledge when my heart began pounding harder, and I became aware of my rapid breathing as the official indeed drew my name. The first thing that came out of my mouth, after hearing my name was, I knew it!

The future holds much promise for humanity in the realm of psychic abilities since, I believe, we are evolving; learning to use more and more of our minds. It is said that normally we only utilize 1/10th of our brain’s capacity. If this is true, imagine the abilities a person would have who could use 100% of it!

Why do I think we are becoming more psychic? I think we have no choice but to be more psychic people are verbally communicating) less and less. Since more and more young people are hooked on their video games, since young people and adults are spending large amounts of time, isolated, in front of the TV or on their computers, and since people don’t talk to or communicate verbally with their neighbors like they used to, maybe we are setting ourselves up to rely on these psychic abilities.

The question we need to ask ourselves is, “If we are all psychic, how do we improve our psychic abilities, and make them more reliable?” This is a question for the ages. If we look 1000 years into the future, there may be machines that hone our minds like a stone hones a blade. Until then, however, all we can do is keep believing and keep marveling at the wonderful gifts we’ve been given. Do this by always trying to recognize psychic events in your life and soon you’ll see that being psychic is much more than myth.
