My Brief Absence

I’ve been out of commission for a couple of weeks. About 2 months ago I developed a clot in my spleen that my doctors said wouldn’t require removal. They said my body would breakdown and absorb the damaged tissue. Well, a couple of weeks ago my spleen began bleeding requiring surgery. I went in the hospital on a Monday evening, had the surgery Tuesday morning at about 2am. Then, I had another surgery either Friday or Saturday that same week to get a hernia repaired since neither I nor my doctor could get it to reduce.

I didn’t get home until Monday, yesterday.

For my spleen, I was cut from my sternum to my bellybutton. For my hernia repair, I was cut on my right lower waist area from about mid thigh to near my groin (ouch).

I’m still sore today, and don’t really feel up to spell checking and proof reading, so if this little note to you isn’t well written, sorry.


It’s raining in Louisiana today. It was raining when I awoke this morning, and it is still raining at 12:30pm.
