Dan's Yummy Spicy Chicken Recipe

You wont find this recipe on “What’s cooking?” “What’s Cooking?” is a local cooking show local to Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana.

This is really easy to fix because you don’t really need to measure anything. I have, however, put measurements in the recipe to give you roundabout ideas as to what you need.

I created this recipe one day because I wanted hot wings but didn’t have any wings to make them with.

Ingredients:

1, 2, 3 or more pounds of chicken legs, thighs and/or breasts.

1 bottle of hot sauce
Some honey
Some wirchershire sauce (pardon spelling)
Some margarine

Directions:

Wash chicken pieces place in baking pan

Mix about 1/3 cup of hot sauce with a good squirt or two of honey (about 1 to 2 teaspoons, a shake or two of the worchershire sauce, and a teaspoon or 2 or 3 of margarine. Place in microwave and heat until you can blend margarine into mixture. (about 1 minute)

Pour hot sauce mixture all over chicken, turn chicken over to coat chicken and bottom of pan.

Place foil tightly over pan top

Bake at 350 or 375 for about an hour, to about an hour and a half.

Remove foil and bake for about another 15 minutes to make some of the skin crispy. (if you have any on your chicken)

-------------------------

Chicken Dipping sauce: repeat hot sauce directions above, and after heating/ mixing, instead of pouring on chicken, pour into a serving dish for dipping.

If you try this, I hope you like it. I know I love chicken this way. I always make sure I have some napkins though because they are messy if you eat them with your fingers. Also, fixing some coleslaw/ or potato salad will help with reducing the heat of the hotsauce which will make the spicy chicken even more enjoyable.
