My Call Sign is KE5UTN

I finally have my Amateur Radio license. KE5UTN is my call sign.

I’ve wanted to be a ham operator since I was really young but never made time for pursuing that goal.

It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be, even for a visually impaired fellow. I went to a local club meeting where I met many wonderful people who were more than willing to help me fulfill my goal. Then after studying hard for a few months, I took the test and only missed one question.

I’ve got a 10 meter rig right now, a Ranger RCI 2980wx, and I’m using a 5/8 vertical ground plane (Solarcon I-MAX 2000)

My set up works very well, but I’d like to get into the 2 meter and 6 meter bands which I need equipment for.

I still have to fix a few issues with my current setup; I need to better secure my mast, pulling a section of it away from my ham shack where it is touching, as well as getting more height for it.
