Melanie Massey Physical Therapy Staff is Great

I went to Melanie Massey Physical Therapy in West Monroe yesterday to meet with the staff and discuss my desire to volunteer my time with them. I was shown to a room where the staff (consisting of PT, OT, SLP, Billing, and management) was sitting around on the floor setting a very informal tone to our meeting. We discussed my qualities, what I am capable of doing, what I'm willing to do, how often I'd like to 'work' and more.

We had a few laughs and a few serious moments, especially while I was telling them about my medical condition. The staff was very attentive, and seemed to understand what I was wanting to do, though I might not have given them total disclosure about the depth of my feelings about this rehab field.

I might participate in some hippotherapy sessions where clients ride horses to help improve their conditions. This sounds like something I'd like to participate in. Additionally, I might even work directly with clients, assisting in therapy sessions in the clinic.... I can't wait.

Well, I've got a lot to look forward to. Maybe after a while I could turn this into an employment stepping stone; who knows?

Anything is possible, so I'll keep thinking positively.
