Hello visitors!
Today I went to the 3rd annual Bawcomville Redneck Christmas Parade with every intention of snapping some snappy pictures for your enjoyment. Sadly, my rotten little camera let me down. All I shot was one fuzzy picture of a police car door which hardly deserves posting here.
I've been wanting a "Good" camera for quite a while now and have been doing okay with that cheep thing. Unfortunately, being disabled, I'm not in a position to purchase a good one my self.
so, if you read this and feel like getting something for me for Christmas, a "Good" digital camera would be really, really nice. My address is listed in the left side bar. By the way, although I request donations in that side bar, I have not yet recieved any.
Thanks.
As far as the parade went, I thought it turned out well. There seemed to be a lot more horses this year, and a couple of them seemed to dance as they walked along.
As with last year, there were floats. A few that stick out in my mind are as follows: There was one that was nothing more than a large dumpster with riders (dumpster divers) inside throwing candy. Another float contained a few rednecks with their pet donkey. Yet another depicted stereotyped redneck backyards, complete with junk cars. There were a few race cars this year as well.
One interesting story, my sister in law and her husband brought a 4-wheeler to ride in the parade. Sadly, like a couple rednecks, they forgot the 4-wheeler key at home and ended up pulling the secured 4-wheeler through the parade on the trailer with their truck. For obvious reasons, I won't mention their names here.
I took a picture of the local new paper photographer, like I did last year, but this time, I made sure the sun was behind me to get a good shot of him. Too bad that one didn't turn out. He even thanked me for getting his picture.
