The Oil catastrophe taking place in the Gulf is just that, a catastrophe. The damage this incident is causing may never be overcome. This is how serious this issue is.
On the CBS evening news, it was reported that British Petroleum (BP) may not be able to stop this teak till August! As it is, I guess they are taking the weekend off because they say they wont begin trying to plug the leak with heavy mud till next week. What’s with that? If the reasoning for this is logistics getting materials together, I say they should Borrow/buy stuff from the nearest oil rigs to work with.
Cleaning up affected shorelines will be impossible to clean up when this well is still spewing oil!. The Gulf of Mexico is damaged. Wildlife is being killed. Louisiana’s fragile wetlands are surely going to become inhabitable. Whose fault is this?
How is life in America going to be affected? Will the price of all foods go up?
Think about it, since folks will not be eating gulf provided seafood, they will begin buying other foods. This increased demand for other foods could potentially cause those food prices to increase. Be prepared for this.
